Yes, this possibility exists. In the case of a retrofit, only the bollard tube and the EV Charger KIT need to be replaced. The base plate and the luminaire head can continue to be used.
This is interesting, for example, if only limited power is available at a location and therefore only a small number of charging columns can be installed. If the infrastructure is improved and the available power for the location is thus increased at a later date, additional charging columns can be put into operation with relatively little effort by retrofitting the existing luminaires.
Yes, the luminaire connection is separate from the charging technology and can be wired through with a cross-section of 5x4 mm². Through-wiring is not possible with the charging technology.
The possible cross-section for the luminaire connection is 5x4 mm² and for the EV Charger a maximum of 5x16 mm². The cable inlets are M16 for the luminaire, M40 for the EV Charger and M12 for the LAN cables.
The tube itself has a vent and the EV-Charger is IP65 with ventilation valves. In addition, the cover of the socket has IP54.
Compliance with standards, observance of guidelines and testing of products under real conditions, both in-house and by external institutes, are very important to RZB in terms of quality awareness. The influence of the leverage on the loading solutions was investigated with a tensile weight of 120kg. The plug was attached to the tube at a height of 1.2m. Only slight deformations of the fastening screws occurred. However, the tensile weight used is significantly higher than the normal tensile force of a human arm. The fastening of the RZB Energy charging solutions is basically possible with a buried piece or foundation.
Interfaces & Software
The basic software, which is available on the controller by default, is provided by Phoenix Contact. This controller is then addressed via the mini-USB interface or, if it is already in the network, directly via the IP address. As a backend, the RZB Energy products can be provided at the factory with programmed Monta software. The controllers can also be configured via this system. Updates are then applied "over the air".
The load management is set up, for example, via a MID meter and a Charx 3150 controller. The controller is connected upstream of the system, measures the available power and distributes it evenly to the controllers responsible for charging. The upstream controller can of course also reduce the power for individual charge controllers, depending on the setting.
An example: 4 cars are connected to a charging station, the upstream controller ensures that the power is distributed evenly to all 4 charging points. One of the cars has now finished charging and is removed from the system. Now the controller ensures that the power that was previously still being consumed by the charging point of the fourth car is delivered as additional power to the three vehicles still charging.
Thanks to several open interfaces of the controller, connection to photovoltaic systems of different manufacturers is possible, for example, via MOD Bus or Ethernet interface.
